Fyi, everyone, I've discovered by talking to the perplexity pro AI that since we have access to the HTML, we can add alt text that way. So I've just added alt text to a bunch of images via the HTML, with the AI helping with the code. So far everything works.

Would still be easier to add alt text if it was a feature, of course. But at least this way we can still take care of accessibility and SEO while we're waiting.
